Fell free to cheapen the experience if it tickles you pink. All because you were too lazy to put in the effort, to learn to play it as intended. When you alter core mechanics in this fashion, you ruin the flow of the game. Don't be a smarta$$ just because you don't agree with folks who use mods. You may play like some uber inventory management god, but a lot of us would benefit from a larger backpack. You need to realize something, bud, everyone plays the game differently, and believe it or not, some people like to go on long exploration trips.

I don't recall asking for advice on managing my backpack. Vanilla pack is going to be smaller to start, and you are using inventory over and above what the max size is going to be. Or you could not cheat, and learn to manage your inventory as that is part of the games core mechanics. What you can do now is craft a minibike and put a shopping basket on it and use that for your extra space on loot runs. So expect to have less to start with after some patch in the future. When packs are added (they have not been yet) the current one will represent the largest of them all.

That is as big a back pack as you will get.
